As the first quarter of 2021 has concluded, Sensor Tower has compiled data revealing the performance of the top sandbox games in the United States. These insights offer a glimpse into user engagement and financial success across the unified platform of iOS and Android.

Roblox by Roblox Corporation has maintained a strong presence, with revenue peaking at $17.6M in the last week of December 2020 and settling at $10.8M by the end of March 2021. Downloads started at 762K in late December and saw a dip to 500K by March's end. Weekly active users displayed a positive trajectory, increasing from 16.8M to 20.1M in the same period.

Minecraft, developed by Mojang of Sweden, showed consistent revenue numbers, starting the quarter with $2.5M and ending at $1.7M. Downloads saw a decline from 149K to 60K, while weekly active users had an upward trend from 12.1M to 17.3M.
